WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Jacky Rosen (D-NV) and Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) released the following statement announcing $1,113,761 in federal grant funding awarded to Nevada from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to be used for the purchase of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for medical and essential workers to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
“As Nevada continues to take steps to reopen, it is critical that our frontline workers are equipped with the proper resources to protect their health and safety,” said the Senators. “Our state’s medical workers have been tireless in their efforts to curb the spread of coronavirus and they are providing invaluable services to keep our state running and operational. We must make sure that those in our community who are risking their health for our safety have what they need for protection. We will continue working to ensure that Nevada receives its fair share of federal funding to combat this pandemic.”
