WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) joined Senate colleagues in supporting an amendment to the forthcoming national security supplemental package that reiterates longstanding U.S. policy in support of a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict.
“A two-state solution with a secure, Jewish State of Israel living side-by-side with a demilitarized Palestinian state is the best way forward,” said Senator Rosen. “I’m proud to support this provision to reaffirm that it is official U.S. policy to support a negotiated two-state solution.”
The text of the amendment is available HERE.
Senator Rosen has consistently advocated for a two-state solution while making sure Israel has the resources it needs to defend itself. As a co-chair of the Senate Abraham Accords Caucus, Rosen has been a leader in efforts to normalize relations between Israel and its Arab neighbors, while repeatedly advocating for peace and a two-state solution, including when she led a bipartisan group of colleagues in a historic delegation to Abraham Accords countries. She also took to the Senate floor last month to urge her colleagues to pass unconditional aid to Israel to defend itself against Hamas following the October 7th terrorist attack, while reiterating her support for humanitarian aid that reaches Palestinian civilians.
