Washington, DC – Today, U.S. Senators Jacky Rosen (D-NV) and Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) announced that the Nevada Clean Energy Fund will receive $7.7 million through the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Clean School Bus Program to help our school districts purchase and install 25 electric school buses across the state.
“Through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which I helped write and pass, Nevada’s schools will receive nearly $8 million for electric school buses that will benefit students across our state,” said Senator Rosen. “This critical funding will help modernize our schools’ transportation system, leading to lower energy costs and cleaner air for our students and their families.”

Created in 2017, the Nevada Clean Energy Fund (NCEF) is a nonprofit organization that provides financial and technical resources to help create clean energy jobs in Nevada, reduce energy costs, and accelerate our clean energy transition. NCEF works with school districts across Nevada to support school bus electrification efforts and save schools money on bus maintenance and fuel costs while reducing air pollution.
Senators Rosen and Cortez Masto worked to pass the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to create good-paying jobs, upgrade infrastructure such as roads and broadband in Nevada, and update schools across the country.
