RENO, NV – U.S. Senators Jacky Rosen (D-NV) and Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) announced this week that more than $27.6 million in federal funding will be spent on Forest Service projects across Washoe, White Pine, Douglas, Lyon, Mineral, and Elko Counties, helping to reduce wildfire risk for communities in the region and protect power lines and watersheds. The funding comes from the Inflation Reduction Act and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, both of which Senators Rosen and Cortez Masto helped pass.
