LAS VEGAS, NV – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) participated in a roundtable discussion hosted by UnidosUS Action Fund with Latino small business owners in Las Vegas to discuss her work to cut red tape and hear from them about how she can best continue supporting them in the Senate. In their conversation, Senator Rosen also highlighted her support for programs that are critical for Nevada families, like expanding the Child Tax Credit, bolstering the Affordable Care Act’s tax credits, and protecting the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.
“In Nevada, small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy and countless hardworking families depend on their success,” said Senator Rosen. “I joined UnidosUS Action Fund in a conversation with Latino small business owners from Las Vegas to discuss the issues they face and hear about how I can continue working to deliver for them in the Senate. I’ll keep working to cut red tape for our small businesses and support our local communities.”

As a member of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Senator Rosen has been working to support the Latino business community. Last year, she introduced the bipartisan Minority Entrepreneurship Grant Program Act to establish a Minority Entrepreneurship Grant Program through the Small Business Administration to award grants to Minority Serving Institutions, including Hispanic Serving Institutions, to promote and increase opportunities for Latinos to start their businesses. Senator Rosen also introduced the bipartisan One Stop Shop For Small Business Licensing Act to require the SBA to create a centralized website that includes federal, state, and local licensing and business permit information for starting a small business.
