Anchor: “Her remarks come as the Waffle House restaurant chain announced they’re putting a 50 cent per egg surcharge. The average price per dozen nationwide hit $4.15 in December. The Agriculture Department predicts prices are going to soar another 20 percent this year, and the bird flu outbreak is another factor in why egg prices are up so much.”
