RENO, NV – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV), a member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP), joined former Nevada State Senator Bernice Mathews in visiting Bernice Mathews Elementary school in celebration of the start of the 2019-2020 school year. Senator Rosen greeted teachers and students and delivered books that she is donating to the school from the Library of Congress.
“I’m glad to have the chance to wish our students good luck as they embark on a new school year, and to thank our hard-working educators and school staff for all the great work they do to inspire the next generation of Nevadans,” said Senator Rosen. “Education is the key to accessing countless opportunities in life. In Congress, I will continue to advocate on behalf of all our children.”
