WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, as part of her statewide virtual tour, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) participated in a series of events, including: a discussion on healthcare in Nye County with Beatty Town Advisory Board Chairman Dick Gardner and Treasurer Erika Gerling, along with community healthcare partners, and a meeting with Boulder City Mayor Kiernan McManus, the city manager, and representatives of the Boulder City Airport to discuss their recent improvements as a result of CARES Act funding.
“During this difficult time, Nevada’s hospitals and our tourism industry have been severely impacted,” said Senator Rosen. “Today, I met with medical providers to discuss what is being done to continue serving the Nye County community as we work to address this pandemic. I also had the chance to see how Boulder City Airport, one of our key tourism hubs, has been able to fortify itself with the help of CARES Act funding. I will continue working to support our critical industries as we navigate this challenging time.”
