WASHINGTON D.C. – U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) was named a “Friend of the Farm Bureau” for the 116th Congress. This award, by the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF), was given to Senator Rosen for her leadership in supporting Nevada’s farming and ranching communities.

I’m honored to receive this award and I will continue to fight for Nevada’s farmers, ranchers, and agricultural producers.”
BACKGROUND: Senator Rosen was nominated for this award by the Nevada Farm Bureau.
Rosen is a co-sponsor of the Food Supply Protection Act (S. 4453), bipartisan legislation which would authorize new temporary funding streams for emergency feeding organizations and provide $500 million in grants, loans, and loan guarantees for farmers and small and medium-sized food processors to protect workers and build flexibility into the food supply chain.
Rosen is also a co-sponsor of the Food Bank Access to Fresh Farm Produce Act of 2020 (S. 3605), which would provide $8 billion for grants to states through USDA’s Specialty Crop Block Grant Program, as well as help to address supply chain disruptions due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Additionally, Senator Rosen has co-sponsored the RESTAURANTS Act of 2020 (S.4012), legislation that would establish a $120 billion revitalization fund to help independent restaurants deal with the long-term structural challenges facing the industry because of COVID-19.
