Rosen Votes to Pass American Rescue Plan Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) released the following statement after voting to pass the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021:

“Today, I cast my vote to bring much-needed relief to Nevadans,” dijo el Senador Rosen. “This comprehensive legislative package contains numerous provisions that will help to see the Silver State through this challenging time.”

“The American Rescue Plan Act will make good on our promise of direct payments to Americans in need and extend enhanced unemployment relief and complete health insurance premium coverage for Nevadans who have faced job losses through no fault of their own,” Senator Rosen continued. “This newly passed bill will also aid Nevada’s small businesses through new EIDL grants, expanded PPP, and direct aid to restaurants. It also provides relief to our frontline workers and state and local governments, invests in our schools, supports our travel and tourism industries, and gives Nevadans access to critical housing assistance.

“Additionally, this legislation will strengthen our efforts to combat COVID-19 by accelerating vaccine manufacturing and distribution, and enhancing medical research. At every step of this pandemic, I have made it my mission to support Nevadans as we work to recover.
