WASHINGTON DC – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) announced that $481 million in Federal Highway Administration funding will go to Nevada to reduce the backlog of major repairs for highways and bridges and expand efforts to reduce traffic deaths and serious injuries.
This funding comes as a direct result of the recently enacted bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Senator Rosen was part of the bipartisan group of 22 senators that negotiated and drafted the final infrastructure package.
“Over the years, the many highways and bridges that get Nevadans where they need to go in their daily lives have fallen into disrepair,” dijo el Senador Rosen. “Thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, Nevada is receiving nearly half a billion dollars to fix our roads and bridges and expand our highways, making them safer and more resilient for Nevadans and millions of visitors to our state. This money will also help make it possible for us to make critical investments in I-15, I-80, and the new I-11. I will keep fighting to see that Nevada continues to receive our fair share of federal funding to support good-paying jobs and modernize our transportation system.”
