The Bipartisan Tax Relief For American Families And Workers Act Would Cut Taxes For Hardworking Families, Expand Affordable Housing Options, And Makes It Easier For Small Businesses To Compete
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) sent a letter to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) urging him to put the bipartisan tax cut package on the Senate floor for a vote after it passed by a wide, bipartisan margin in the House of Representatives last night. In her letter, Senator Rosen highlighted the benefits that the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act would have for Nevada, including by cutting taxes for hardworking families, expanding affordable housing options, and making it easier for small businesses to compete on a global scale.
“I write to express my strong support for the Tax Relief for American Families and Workers Act that passed the U.S. House of Representatives last night with broad support from both sides of the aisle,” wrote Senator Rosen. “This bipartisan legislation will lower costs for hardworking Nevada families, increase the supply of affordable housing, and help our small businesses grow and thrive.”
“At a time when families in Nevada and across the country are facing high costs across the board, this bipartisan tax package would give families some needed breathing room.,” Senator Rosen continued. “The need for more affordable housing is growing more urgent by the day, and the provisions in this package will ensure that more Nevadans have access to affordable, quality housing options. ”

Senator Rosen has been fighting to cut taxes for hardworking Nevada families and help lower costs. Last year, she helped introduce the Working Families Tax Relief Act to help lower taxes for Nevada families by expanding the Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit. Rosen also introduced a resolution opposing the creation of a federal sales tax and calling for a tax cut for working families to grow the middle class. This comes in addition to Senator Rosen’s Housing Oversight and Mitigating Exploitation (HOME) Act to help lower housing costs for Nevadans by cracking down on price gouging by corporate investors who are buying up housing stock.
