Rosen Joins Bill to Guarantee Access to Contraception at Pharmacies

WASHINGTON DC – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) announced that she has joined legislation to ensure patients have access to contraception at the pharmacy. The Access to Birth Control Act would also aim to ensure that no one is intimidated, threatened, or harassed when seeking birth control, and it would protect access to both contraceptives and medication deemed necessary by their medical provider to be used in conjunction with contraceptives.

“At a time when anti-choice extremists are going after women’s reproductive care, we must protect access to contraception,” dijo el Senador Rosen. “That’s why I’m supporting legislation to guarantee access to contraception at local pharmacies. I’ll always stand up for women and their ability to make their own family planning decisions.”

Senator Rosen continues fighting back against efforts to restrict access to reproductive rights. Senator Rosen helped introduce the Let Doctors Provide Reproductive Health Care Act to protect doctors and other health care professionals from being prosecuted for providing reproductive care to their patients. Senator Rosen also helped introduce the Women’s Health Protection Act to restore Roe v. Wade.
