WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) announced that her bipartisan legislation to reauthorize the Never Again Education Act has passed the House of Representatives and now heads to the President’s desk to be signed into law. Senator Rosen’s bipartisan Never Again Education Act was originally signed into law in 2020 to establish a federal fund through the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum to provide teachers with resources and training to educate students on the lessons of the Holocaust. It was set to expire in 2025, but the Never Again Education Reauthorization Act will reauthorize the program through 2030.
“We’re at a critical time when we need to ensure the next generation is fully educated about the atrocities of the Holocaust and the dangers of antisemitism,” dijo el Senador Rosen. “I’m glad to see that the House of Representatives has passed my bipartisan legislation to continue providing the resources needed for accurate and effective Holocaust education.”
Senator Rosen has been a leader in the bipartisan fight to combat antisemitism and Holocaust denial and distortion. She helped launch the first-ever Senate Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Antisemitism and led the push to create the first-ever national strategy to counter antisemitism released earlier this year. Senator Rosen also helped introduce a bipartisan resolution denouncing antisemitism at institutions of higher education, which passed the Senate unanimously. Earlier this year, she hosted a roundtable discussion with students from across the country to discuss campus antisemitism.
