Rosen Once Again Votes to Protect Access to IVF, Anti-Choice Republicans Block Bill From Advancing

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) released the following statement after anti-choice Senate Republicans blocked the advancement of the Right to IVF Act, legislation she helped introduce to protect access to IVF and other fertility treatments.

“Overturning Roe v. Wade was just the beginning for anti-choice extremists, who’ve made it clear they want to control women’s bodies and their family-planning decisions,” dijo el Senador Rosen. “Threats against IVF are real, and it’s shameful that anti-choice Republicans in the Senate decided to block our efforts to advance a common-sense bill to protect access to IVF and fertility treatments. I’ll keep fighting to restore Roe and prevent politicians from telling women what to do with their bodies.”

Senator Rosen has been working to restore reproductive freedoms and oppose anti-choice efforts to restrict them. Earlier this year, she joined legislation to protect IVF treatments in federal law. Senator Rosen also helped introduce the Let Doctors Provide Reproductive Health Care Act to protect doctors and other health care professionals from being prosecuted for providing reproductive care to their patients. She recently voted to protect women’s constitutional right to access birth control.
