WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV), a member of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee (HSGAC), released a statement in response to news that the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) Inspector General (IG) is investigating USPS’s failure to update address changes in the National Change of Address Linkage database (NCOALink), which most states use to keep voters addresses up to date. The announcement of this investigation follows a letter led by Senator Rosen to Postmaster General Louis DeJoy requesting answers and action to ensure Americans that this error will not impact their ability to safely and securely vote-by-mail in the upcoming general election.
“I’m glad to see that, following my call for answers and action, this issue is under investigation by USPS’s Inspector General,” dijo el Senador Rosen. “As I have previously stated, the failure to update address data in the National Change of Address Linkage database (NCOALink) may have real consequences for the disbursement of election mail. With voters already casting ballots across the nation, failures such as these are unacceptable and require immediate action.”
