Rosen Helps Introduce Bill to Reinstate Veterans Wrongfully Fired by Trump & Elon Musk

WASHINGTON DC – U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) helped introduce the Protect Veteran Jobs Act, legislation that would reinstate veterans who were fired from their jobs as part of Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s purge of federal employees. Veterans make up more than 30 percent of the federal workforce and it is estimated that Trump and Musk have already fired more than 6,000 of those men and women who have served in uniform.

“I’m disgusted that Donald Trump and Elon Musk fired thousands of veterans who were continuing to serve our nation honorably as civilians – all while continuing to push for tax cuts for their billionaire friends,” dijo el Senador Rosen. “I’m always going to stand up for Nevada’s veterans, which is why I’m helping to introduce a bill to reinstate each of the veterans who were fired in this indiscriminate purge. I’ll keep fighting back until our veterans are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.”

Senator Rosen has been a champion for Nevada’s veterans. Last week, she took to the Senate floor to oppose the actions of the Trump Administration and Elon Musk to mass fire employees working at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Earlier this month, Rosen joined a letter calling on President Donald Trump to immediately reinstate all veterans who have been illegally fired in his Administration’s mass terminations of federal employees. In a previous letter, she demanded the VA provide answers regarding mass employee terminations. Senator Rosen also urged the VA to take immediate action to secure veterans’ personal information provided by the VA or other agencies to Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
