In Support of Our Nation’s Parks, Rosen Co-Sponsors Bipartisan Resolution Establishing National Park Week

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV), a member of the bipartisan Senate Climate Solutions Caucus, announced her co-sponsorship of a bipartisan resolution designating the week of April 17 through April 25 as “National Park Week.”

“In Nevada, our national parks are not only a source of wonder – they are an important part of our history and cultural identity,” dijo el Senador Rosen. “I’m honored to co-sponsor this bipartisan resolution designating this week as National Park Week to celebrate America’s natural treasures. Nevada’s public lands and parks are part of what makes our state a wonderful place to visit and to call home. In Congress, I will continue fighting to protect our national parks and public lands for future generations.”

BACKGROUND: Additionally, the resolution encourages the people of the United States and the world to responsibly visit, experience, and support the treasured national parks of the United States while protecting public health during the coronavirus pandemic.
