WASHINGTON DC – Last week, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, reintroduced her bipartisan Veteran Education Empowerment Act to create, maintain, and operate Student Veteran Centers at universities and colleges across the nation to help student veterans transitioning from military to civilian life.

Reporter: A new piece of legislation is also aiming to help veterans here in Southern Nevada and also across the nation. Senators Jacky Rosen and Marco Rubio officially introduced a bill to help veterans. It lists out new policies to help veterans transition from military to civilian life. More than a dozen veterans service organizations endorsed the bipartisan act, too.

This act is expected to help create, maintain, and operate student veteran centers at universities and colleges across the country — which will ultimately help student veterans transitioning from military to civilian life.
