LAS VEGAS, NV – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV), a member of the Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions (HELP), announced her co-sponsorship of a resolution to support reproductive rights, joining 43 of her Senate colleagues in standing up for women’s rights to make their own reproductive health care decisions. The resolution affirms their support of women’s access to reproductive health care in response to legislative efforts in Georgia, Alabama, and other states intended to undermine women’s reproductive rights and overturn Roe v. Wade.
“To say that these new abortion laws are extreme is an understatement,” dijo el Senador Rosen. “Politicians are using misinformation to enact extreme laws in an effort to take away a woman’s right to make her own personal health decisions. The fact is that women’s rights are human rights, and women have the constitutional right to decide, with their doctor, what medical choice is best for them. We cannot allow women’s health care rights and freedoms to be stripped away.”
