As Nevada’s United States Senator, it’s my responsibility and privilege to recommend to the President qualified individuals to serve as federal judges who have the support of our community. To ensure that the voices of Nevada’s diverse legal community are reflected on the federal bench, Senator Catherine Cortez Masto and I established judicial commissions to select experienced, qualified, and independent nominees through a nonpartisan process. The Northern Nevada and Southern Nevada Judicial Commissions will review and recommend candidates for potential nomination to the District Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
